This axe would be great for camping, chopping wood, hunting, etc. I made it from a single piece of 1/4" thick piece of A36 steel. As you can see, I also added 550 cord to the handle for added grip and comfort. I also gave it an additional cutting surface for smaller items with the curvature of the rear face. The overall length of the axe is 10 & 3/4 inches. The head is 5" long and 4 & 3/4 inches wide. The handle is 7 & 1/2 inches long from the start of the 550 cord to the end and 1 & 1/2" wide.
